Assessment of prosthetic and orthotic device technical requirements including material selection, component selection, structural evaluation, device specific evaluation.
Modification of casts, measurements, digital images
Fabrication of custom prostheses and orthoses
Application of fabrication work orders and directions
Collaborate with clinical staff and peers
Maintain patient documentation records of technical work completed in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Compliance with practice processes, safety rules, and patient care guidelines
Maintain clean and functioning equipment and routine maintenance logs
Maintain safe, clean, and professional work environment
Assist clinical staff with patient care duties
Maintain inventory records
Participate in continuing education
Support and follow the professional responsibilities outlined in the ABC Code of Professional Responsibility.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Stand on tile over concrete to complete most tasks during each day. Frequently bend, stoop, walk, reach. Work with hand tools and power tools including cast saws, band saws, belt grinders, drills. Work with materials including metal, aluminum, carbon fiber, cork, foam, plaster, epoxy, glues, thinner. Lift items such as plaster molds and bags of plaster, that could weigh up to and exceeding 50 lbs.
